  • About The Role

  • At Lucion, we’re passionate about creating safer, more sustainable places for people to live, work and thrive. As a forward-thinking environmental consultancy, we work across the built environment to understand, manage and reduce environmental risks.

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of development and regeneration projects, helping clients identify environmental risks and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

    What You’ll Be Doing

As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you’ll play a key role in assessing and managing land contamination and environmental risks. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Environmental Site Assessments – Conduct Phase I and Phase II assessments, including desk studies and ground investigations.
    • Contamination Assessment – Assess soil and groundwater contamination, identify pollutant linkages and undertake environmental risk assessments.
    • Technical Reporting – Prepare high-quality technical reports, including contamination assessments, remediation strategies and supporting documentation.
    • Project Delivery – Work alongside senior consultants and project managers to deliver projects safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
    • Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities to ensure projects meet environmental regulations and industry best practice.
    • Innovative Thinking – Help develop practical and innovative solutions to land contamination and wider environmental challenges.

    What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

    You’ll ideally have:

    • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology or a related discipline.
    • 3+ years’ experience in geo-environmental consultancy or contaminated land assessment.
    • Good knowledge of UK environmental regulations and contaminated land guidance.
    • Experience with site investigation techniques, environmental sampling and data interpretation.
    • Strong technical report writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders.
    • A full UK driving licence.
  • About Us

  • What’s In It For You?

At Lucion, we want our people to grow, develop and enjoy what they do.

    You’ll benefit from:

    • Exposure to a wide variety of exciting projects, from smaller developments to major infrastructure schemes.
    • Ongoing training and career development, supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
    • Flexible working options designed to support a healthy work-life balance.
    • The opportunity to build your career within a growing and innovative geo-environmental team.
    • The chance to contribute to projects that have a real impact on the environment and the communities they serve.
    • Techscheme – vouchers towards tech or homeware (new tech or new sofa? entirely up to you)
    • Healthcare Cash Plan – help with everyday healthcare costs
    • Enhanced family leave – because life doesn’t stop at the site gate
    • Option to buy extra holiday – more time for rest, travel, or doing absolutely nothing
    • Training & development – keep your skills sharp and your career moving

     Ready to Make a Difference?

If you’re passionate about geo-environmental consultancy, contaminated land and creating a more sustainable built environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Join Lucion and be part of a team turning environmental challenges into practical solutions.
